For 50 years, Kinderwood has been a staple of the Central Adirondack community. The program, started by Mirnie Kashiwa, has educated over 1,000 youth since its inception giving them a place to learn, grow and play. This one of a kind not-for-profit organization would not be possible without the support of our generous donors.
We count on donations and fundraising efforts to make sure each child gets the early education they deserve.
In 1969, Mirnie Kashiwa developed the Kinderwood program to foster authentic learning and imaginative exploration .
Rooted in community, the not-for-profit organization educates 3 and 4 year old pre-school students living in the area.
